Reports have emerged that players from Yousifia Berrechid have decided to boycott the team’s training sessions and abstain from playing their upcoming match against Union Touarga, scheduled for round 22 of the professional league, in protest against unpaid dues.
According to an informed source, the Yousifia Berrechid players have opted to boycott training due to not receiving their payments for seven months and the absence of an official to explain the team’s financial situation, which is adversely affecting the morale of the players.
The source also revealed that the players are silently enduring dire financial circumstances, with many of them facing eviction from their homes due to financial difficulties. Some have even returned to their family homes because they lack daily expenses.
The same source, who preferred not to disclose their identity, affirmed that the players are turning to the president of the sports company of Yousifia Berrechid, Nour Eddine El Bedi, to resolve this issue.
However, El Bedi can only assist with symbolic matters, as he lacks the legal authority to access the company’s bank account. He has been awaiting approval from the executive board for some time to grant him the necessary authorization.
As a form of protest against the non-payment of their dues, the players have decided to abstain from participating in the match against Union Touarga, scheduled for the upcoming Friday in Rabat.
This decision was made after all attempts to find solutions with the executive board failed.
It is worth noting that Yousifia Berrechid currently occupies the last position in the professional league with 14 points.
