Youngster Ousmane Diallo closes in on Parma move from Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund youngster Ousmane Diallo is on the verge of joining Serie A side Parma after travelling to Italy to complete the final stages of his transfer.

The 19-year-old attacking winger is expected to sign a contract until 2030, ending his two-year spell with the Bundesliga club as he looks to establish himself in senior football.

Parma win race for highly rated prospect

According to reports in Italy, Parma have beaten several clubs to the signature of the Spain Under-19 international, who is regarded as one of the country’s brightest young talents.

Diallo is set to reunite with fellow Spaniard Carlos Cuesta, who is in charge of the Serie A club, after agreeing to make the switch from Germany.

His current contract with Dortmund runs until June 2027, but the two clubs are now close to finalising the transfer.

Trophy-laden spell at Dortmund

Diallo joined Dortmund from the youth academy of Deportivo Alavés in the summer of 2023 and progressed through the club’s Under-17, Under-19 and reserve teams.

During his time with the Black and Yellows, he made 103 appearances, scoring 22 goals and providing 13 assists.

He also celebrated success at youth level, helping Dortmund win the Under-17 Bundesliga title in 2024 before lifting the Premier League International Cup earlier this year.

European champion seeks first-team breakthrough

The winger further enhanced his reputation by starring for Spain at the UEFA European Under-19 Championship, where he helped his country defeat Germany 2-0 in the final.

Diallo scored three goals during the tournament as Spain secured the continental title.

His expected departure continues Dortmund’s trend of allowing promising young players to pursue regular first-team opportunities elsewhere, following the exits of Julien Duranville, Cole Campbell and Kjell Wätjen.
