Egyptian youngster Mostafa Makhlouf has extended his stay with powerhouse Al Ahly after signing two-year deal.
The 21-year-old, whose previous contract was set to expire in summer 2026, will now remain with the Red Castle until 2028
The fast-rising goalkeeper’s previous contract was modest in value, commensurate with his time in the youth team.
However, Makhlouf is now a first-team goalkeeper, alongside Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir, and Hamza Alaa.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly are seeking to extend contracts of a couple of players including Mostafa Shobeir, and Ahmed Nabil Kouka.
Mostafa Makhlouf has one appearance across competitions for Al Ahly this season. He is currently understudying Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir, and Hamza Alaa at the club.
Al Ahly are currently in South Africa for their much-anticipated game against Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League semifinals first leg clash.
