JS Kabylie celebrated a triumphant start to the season by claiming the U-21 Super Cup after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over CR Belouizdad at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium on Saturday, January 4.
The young Canaries displayed remarkable resilience, turning the tide against the reigning U21 league champions.
After conceding an early goal, JS Kabylie roared back into contention with a moment of brilliance from Abderrazak Laifaoui, who brought the score level just before halftime. His stunning right-footed strike, set up by a chest reception, electrified the stadium and injected new energy into the team.
In the second half, the Canaries capitalized on a critical mistake from CR Belouizdad’s goalkeeper. Oualid Malki pounced on the error in the 55th minute, slotting in the decisive goal to seal JS Kabylie’s victory.
This Super Cup triumph adds another trophy to JS Kabylie’s collection and marks a promising beginning for their youth squad’s campaign, building on their U21 League Cup success last season.
