Werder Bremen are weighing up a move for SV Elversberg striker Younes Ebnoutalib, with the 22-year-old emerging as a potential attacking reinforcement according to transfer data linking him with a switch to the Bundesliga club.
Figures compiled by Transfermarkt list the probability of a transfer at 47%, signalling that talks or interest are at least at an exploratory stage as Bremen assess their forward options. The move would see Ebnoutalib step up from Elversberg, currently in the 2. Bundesliga, to a top-flight side with greater competition for places and expectation.
Ebnoutalib, born in Frankfurt am Main on 13 September 2003, represents both Germany and Morocco at nationality level and is primarily deployed as a centre-forward, operating through the middle and leading the line. Standing at 1.91m and favouring his right foot, he profile-wise fits the mould of a physically imposing striker capable of offering a focal point in attack.
His rapid rise in valuation is likely a key factor behind the growing speculation. After being listed with no market value while without a club in March 2024, he is now valued at €1.50m as of October 2025 following his spell with Elversberg, a sharp increase from the €150,000 mark recorded earlier in the year. That relatively modest fee in Bundesliga terms could make him an attractive, lower-risk option for Bremen’s recruitment team.
Ebnoutalib’s career path has already taken in spells in both Germany and Italy. Having come through youth football at SG Red-White Frankfurt and SV Wehen Wiesbaden, he moved to Perugia Primavera before stepping up to AC Perugia’s first team, then returning to Germany via FC Gießen and on to Elversberg.
With no contract expiry date publicly listed, there remains the possibility that future negotiations could lead either to a cut-price deal or, longer term, a free-agent scenario if no extension is agreed. For Ebnoutalib, a move to Werder Bremen would represent a significant jump in profile and competition level, and could prove a defining step in shaping his career trajectory if the rumoured transfer eventually materialises.
