Villarreal are being linked with a move for SV Elversberg centre-forward Younes Ebnoutalib, with the 22-year-old reportedly attracting interest from LaLiga after a sharp rise in his market value.

Reports in Germany suggest the Spanish club are monitoring the striker’s situation at the 2. Bundesliga side, though the probability of any deal remains unclear and is currently listed only as “?”. With no public details on the length of his existing agreement at Elversberg, observers have also noted the possibility that contractual circumstances could yet influence whether he becomes available or effectively a free option in a future window.

Ebnoutalib’s valuation has climbed to €1.50m, according to data from Transfermarkt, underlining how quickly his stock has grown since joining Elversberg from FC Gießen. That figure marks a dramatic jump from the €150,000 valuation recorded earlier in 2025 and reflects his emergence as a notable attacking prospect in the German second tier.

Born in Frankfurt am Main on 13 September 2003, the 1.91m right-footed forward holds both German and Moroccan nationality. He has been developed across several youth systems, including spells at SG Red-White Frankfurt and SV Wehen Wiesbaden at Under-17 level, before moving to Italy with Perugia Primavera and later AC Perugia. A brief period without a club in early 2024 preceded his move to Gießen and then on to Elversberg.

Primarily used as a centre-forward, Ebnoutalib’s profile as a physically imposing attacker with experience in both German and Italian systems is believed to appeal to Villarreal’s recruitment department as they assess medium-term options in the final third.

Should a move eventually materialise, a switch from the 2. Bundesliga to LaLiga would represent a major step in Ebnoutalib’s career, offering a platform that could significantly enhance his reputation and accelerate his development at the top level.
