Algerian international Youcef Atal opened his goal-scoring account for Al-Sadd, helping his side secure a 3-1 victory over Al-Wasl in the second leg of the Asian Champions League round of 16.
The result ensures Al-Sadd’s place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
The match began unfavorably for the Qatari side, with Fábio Lima giving Al-Wasl an early lead in the 10th minute.

Since joining Al-Sadd in September 2024, Atal has experienced a challenging adaptation period.
Initially left out of the club’s domestic league squad for the first half of the season, he has been primarily limited to appearances in the Asian Champions League.
