Yoane Wissa out of Brentford squad for Borussia Mönchengladbach match ahead of Newcastle move
Congolese forward Yoane Wissa is not part of the Brentford squad that will face off with Borussia Mönchengladbach tonight.
The attacker has been a transfer target of a number of clubs since the 2024/25 football season came to an end.
Although his club, Brentford, hoped to keep him for the upcoming football season, Wissa has already made it clear that he wants to leave this summer.
The forward has informed the club of his intentions and is keen on signing for fellow English Premier League side Newcastle United.
Tonight, Yoane Wissa is out of Brentford’s team for the friendly match against Borussia Mönchengladbach and hopes to finalise his move to Newcastle United in the coming days before the start of the 2025/26 football season next weekend.
Brentford acknowledge that the departure of the Congolese attacker will be a big loss and are already in the market looking for a replacement.
