Touré sees this matchup as a crucial encounter for Manchester City, expressing his ambition to progress in the Champions League. He stated in an interview with RMC, “The objective, for me, was to come to City and take a step forward with them, to win trophies. But if to reach the quarters, half, or final of the Champions League, we have to eliminate Barça, then I say yes.”
The midfielder emphasized his strong desire to go far in the competition, considering it an exceptional opportunity for a player. He acknowledged that facing Barcelona presents a significant challenge but also an opportunity for Manchester City to prove themselves on the European stage.
