Yaya Sidibe: Malian right-back joins CE LHospitalet on free transfer from CF Badalona

Mali defender Yaya Sidibe has joined Spanish side CE L’Hospitalet on a free transfer from CF Badalona. The 29-year-old right-back has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027.

Sidibe, born in Bamako on 27 November 1996, switches clubs after a single season with Badalona, whom he also joined on a free transfer in 2025. His move keeps him in the Catalan football scene, where he has spent the bulk of his senior career.

A specialist right-back, Sidibe arrives with significant experience in Spain’s lower divisions. He has made 86 appearances in Segunda Federacion Group III, adding one assist and more than 6,000 minutes of league football, as well as featuring in promotion play-offs and the Copa del Rey.

Before his spell at Badalona, Sidibe played for UE Olot, Manresa and AE Prat, building a reputation as a consistent presence on the flank. Earlier in his career he also turned out for Sant Andreu, Terrassa FC, CE Farners and Girona FC B, moving almost exclusively on free transfers as he progressed through the regional and national tiers.

Sidibe’s contract with CE L’Hospitalet will keep him at the club for the 2026-27 season, with the agreement set to expire on 30 June 2027.
