Yaya Fofana has been voted the Ligue 2 BKT player of the month for September after an outstanding spell in front of goal for Stade de Reims.
The Ivory Coast midfielder received 46% of the votes in the UNFP award, finishing comfortably ahead of Augustine Boakye of AS Saint-Etienne, who took 33%. Red Star player Damien Durand was third with 21%.
The result also reflects the strong league campaigns being enjoyed by the three players’ clubs, with Stade de Reims, AS Saint-Etienne and Red Star currently occupying the top three places in Ligue 2 BKT.
