Yassir Zabiri attracts Barcelona interest after strong Racing Santander performances

Moroccan striker Yassir Zabiri has reportedly attracted the attention of FC Barcelona sporting director Deco following his impressive performances for Racing Santander in La Liga.

According to Spanish football website Fichajes, Barcelona have been monitoring the forward’s progress after being impressed by his displays since joining the newly promoted Spanish side.

The young striker has made an impression with his attacking performances this season, with his ability in front of goal reportedly catching the attention of the Catalan club’s recruitment team.

Deco is said to be following Zabiri’s development closely, although Barcelona are not yet considering an immediate move for the Moroccan.

Reports indicate that the club intend to continue assessing his performances over the coming months before deciding whether to make a move during the summer transfer window.

His chances of attracting a more serious approach could depend on whether he maintains his current form and continues to compete with some of La Liga’s leading scorers.

However, there is currently no indication that Barcelona have made an official offer or opened negotiations with Racing Santander over a potential transfer.

For now, the reported interest remains at the monitoring stage, with Deco and his recruitment team expected to keep track of the striker’s performances before making any decision about his future.

Zabiri’s rise in Spain comes after a difficult spell in France, where he struggled to find the right environment to establish himself.

His move to Santander appears to have provided a fresh opportunity to rebuild his career and demonstrate his attacking qualities at the highest level of Spanish football.

The Moroccan now faces the challenge of maintaining his performances throughout the campaign as attention around his future continues to grow.

While Barcelona’s reported interest represents a significant development, Zabiri will need to sustain his current level if he is to turn the speculation into a concrete transfer opportunity.

For the moment, the striker remains focused on his performances for Racing Santander, while Barcelona continue to assess his potential ahead of the next transfer window.
