Yassine Titraoui: Algeria midfielder linked with Olympiacos move from Charleroi

Algeria midfielder Yassine Titraoui of R Charleroi SC is being linked with a move to Greek champions Olympiacos as the Super League 1 side explore options to strengthen their central midfield.

Titraoui, 23, is under contract with the Belgian club until 30 June 2027, meaning any deal would require negotiations with Charleroi rather than a cut‐price move near the end of his deal. He is currently valued at around €7m, a figure that is expected to shape the early stages of any talks between the clubs.

The central midfielder only joined Charleroi on 12 July 2024 but is already attracting interest from abroad following his adaptation to European football in the Jupiler Pro League. His potential move to Piraeus would mark a first switch to Greek football, with Olympiacos keen to add depth and competition in the middle of the pitch ahead of a demanding domestic and European campaign.

On the international stage, Titraoui is part of Algeria’s set-up and was a member of the side that won the Arab Cup in the 2020–21 season, an achievement that helped raise his profile beyond North Africa. He is also in Algeria’s World Cup 2026 squad, although he has yet to make an appearance at the tournament.

Born in M’Sila in July 2003 and standing at 1.80m, Titraoui has been used primarily as a central midfielder for club and country. For now, he remains a Charleroi player with three years left on his deal, leaving the Belgian side in a strong position should Olympiacos decide to firm up their interest.
