Yassine Mohamed, a promising young talent from Morocco, has recently signed with the Belgian club Zulte Waregem, despite attracting interest from various clubs in France and abroad. The 18-year-old left-back, who was previously trained at Racing Club de Lens, had caught the attention of clubs such as Dijon, Lille, Benfica, Club Brugge, and Malaga.
After considering his options carefully, Mohamed decided to join Royal Mouscron Péruwelz in Belgium last summer. Following a successful season there, the versatile player, who can also operate as a central defender, has now secured a move to the Jupiler Pro League with Zulte Waregem.
Although he has yet to receive a call-up from the French national team, Mohamed is closely monitored by the Moroccan national team. Having started his career as a central defender, he has transitioned to a left-back role and is poised to continue his development at Zulte Waregem, a club that finished second in the Belgian championship last season.
