Yassine Marai fulfills childhood dream and sets bold targets with Al Ahly

New Al Ahly signing Yassine Marai says he’s living his dream after sealing a move from Pharco.

For the young defender, pulling on the iconic red jersey is more than just a career move, it’s a lifelong ambition fulfilled.

“This is the most important step in my life. I am very happy that this dream has become a reality, and I thank Al Ahly officials for their confidence in my abilities,” Marai told the club’s official website.

With eyes now set on the future, Marai knows the journey has only just begun.

“Joining Al Ahly is a huge responsibility, especially after I was chosen from among many names that were nominated. This places me under a double responsibility and makes me fight to gain the trust of the technical staff. Personally, I have a strong desire to prove myself, achieve many, many championships, and leave a strong mark with Al Ahly,”

He hailed Al Ahly’s competitive environment and strong legacy, calling it the top club in Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East.

Looking ahead to next season, Marai promised to give everything for titles, records, and the fans who back him.

“I will fight and do my best to be an asset to the team.”
