Yassine Bounou delivered another outstanding performance for Al Hilal SFC after helping his side secure a 2-0 victory over Neom SC on Saturday evening in the 33rd round of the Saudi Roshn League.

The Moroccan international goalkeeper played a decisive role throughout the match, producing a series of important saves to preserve Al-Hilal’s advantage and guide the team to another valuable victory in the closing stages of the season.

Bounou, widely known as Bono, once again showcased his experience and composure under pressure as Neom attempted to break through the Al-Hilal defence on several occasions. However, the Moroccan shot-stopper stood firm and frustrated the opposition with multiple dangerous saves.

His latest performance also saw him reach a major milestone in his career with the Saudi giants.

The former Sevilla goalkeeper registered his 50th clean sheet in just 127 appearances for Al-Hilal across domestic and continental competitions, setting a remarkable record and further cementing his importance within the squad.

The achievement comes at an important time for the Moroccan goalkeeper, who has faced criticism from sections of supporters and pundits during parts of the current campaign.

Much of the scrutiny followed AFC Champions League disappointment earlier in the season when Al-Hilal were eliminated in the Round of 16 by Al Sadd SC.

Despite the criticism, Bounou has continued to respond strongly on the pitch with consistent performances and decisive contributions in crucial matches.

The Moroccan international remains one of the key figures in Al-Hilal’s squad and continues to prove why he is regarded as one of the top goalkeepers in world football.
