Yannick Tchintcho: Cameroon-born goalkeeper joins Ste. Genevieve on free transfer
Cameroon-born French goalkeeper Yannick Tchintcho has joined Sainte-Genevieve Sports on a free transfer from CS Bretigny. The 32-year-old moves across the National 2 Group H landscape after leaving Bretigny at the end of last season.
Tchintcho, who stands at 1.87m and plays in goal with his right foot, arrives at Ste. Genevieve with extensive experience in the French lower leagues. His switch was completed on 22 July 2026, keeping him in the same division but offering a new challenge with another National 2 side.
Born in Bafoussam, Tchintcho holds both Cameroonian and French nationality and has spent his entire senior career in French football. Before his move to Ste. Genevieve, he had joined CS Bretigny in January 2023, also on a free transfer, after a spell with CO Les Ulis.
His career path has seen him represent a series of French clubs, including FC Mantois and SC Toulon, following earlier spells at Red Star FC and Chateauroux’s reserve side. He initially came through the youth system at Strasbourg, moving into senior football with Chateauroux B in 2011.
Tchintcho’s latest move gives Ste. Genevieve an experienced option between the posts as they prepare for the 2026-27 National 2 campaign. The transfer is a permanent free move within the French fourth tier.
