Zamalek boss Yannick Ferreira believes keeping Abdallah El-Saeed at the club sends a powerful message to the younger generation.
The Belgian coach welcomed the veteran’s contract renewal, which extends his stay at the club for two more seasons.
Ferreira sees El-Saeed as more than just a footballer. “El Said is a role model for the White Knights generation,” he said in a video posted by the club’s website. “Abdullah Al-Saeed is giving his best in training and has great physical numbers.”
The 38-year-old signed the new deal in the presence of sporting director John Edward after all terms were finalized.
El-Saeed’s impact stretches beyond the pitch. Teammates are inspired by his work ethic and leadership. Omar Jaber declared, “There is no substitute for Abdullah Al-Saeed.” Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh added, “El-Saeed is a role model for everyone, and we must learn from him.”
Saif Farouk Jaafar called him “my role model,” while goalkeeper Mohamed Awad praised his legacy. Nasser Maher summed it up best: “Abdullah Al-Saeed is a living football legend.”
