Although his loan spell at Anderlecht has officially ended, Yannick Bolasie is not ruling out the possibility of extending his stay at the Belgian club. The Congolese international played his final match for Anderlecht on Sunday in Ghent, bidding farewell to the team on Monday via a message on Twitter.

The 29-year-old winger, who arrived on loan from Everton in January, has been put up for sale by his parent club, with a reported asking price of €8 million. Despite this, Bolasie has expressed his openness to continuing in Belgium, citing the comfort and support he has received at Anderlecht.

“I enjoy playing at Anderlecht, the club has made me feel comfortable. I am not immediately saying no to an extended stay. And regarding my salary, an arrangement could be made,” Bolasie told Walfoot.be, signaling that financial terms could be negotiated if the club wishes to retain him.

Currently, Bolasie earns nearly €70,000 per week, a salary that may pose a challenge for Anderlecht given their financial situation. Nonetheless, the player is willing to discuss terms if the management expresses genuine interest in keeping him. He has also attracted interest from clubs in England, Turkey, and France, though his preference appears to lean toward remaining in Belgium if an agreement can be reached.

Bolasie’s loan season concluded with a 2-1 defeat to Gent on May 19th, leaving Anderlecht in 6th place in the final playoff standings with 32 points. The club will not compete in European tournaments next season, marking a disappointing end to their campaign. Individually, Bolasie made a solid contribution, scoring 6 goals—including the lone goal in the defeat against Gent—and providing 3 assists in 17 appearances, which included all 10 playoff matches.

Despite the team’s struggles, Bolasie’s performances highlighted his quality and impact, showing his ability to influence games both as a scorer and a creative force. His versatility and experience make him a valuable asset, and his willingness to negotiate suggests that a return to Anderlecht remains a realistic possibility.

As the transfer window approaches, Anderlecht will need to weigh their ambitions against financial constraints if they hope to secure Bolasie’s services for another season. For Bolasie, staying in Belgium represents continuity, familiarity, and the chance to build on a loan spell where he clearly felt valued and appreciated.

Fans will be watching closely in the coming weeks to see whether the Congolese winger can continue his adventure at Anderlecht or if he will move on to another league, potentially in England, France, or Turkey, where interest has already been reported.
