The Disciplinary Commission of the French Football Federation (FFF) has imposed a heavy sanction on Yann M’Vila and his colleagues. M’Vila has been banned from any national team selection until June 2014 for his involvement in going out at night with some teammates during a gathering of the French junior team in Le Havre. His teammates, Wissam Ben Yedder, Antoine Griezmann, Chris Mavinga, and Mbaye Niang, are suspended from national team selection from November 12, 2012, until December 31, 2013. Thierry Fillion, M’Vila’s lawyer, is considering the possibility of an appeal, stating that the sanction seems disproportionate and that M’Vila is being made a scapegoat.
