Yanga Madiba linked with Orlando Pirates exit to Marumo

Yanga Madiba, the South African left-back at Orlando Pirates, is being linked with a move to Marumo in the Betway Premiership. The reported transfer rumour is dated 14 August 2026, with the clubs both competing in South Africa’s top flight.

Madiba, 24, has made one league appearance for Orlando Pirates this season, playing four minutes without scoring or providing an assist. He has not started a match in the Betway Premiership campaign.

The defender returned to Orlando Pirates on 30 June after spending the 2025-26 season on loan at Orbit College. Madiba joined Orbit College from Orlando Pirates on 19 July 2025, having previously spent time with the club’s reserve side before moving into the senior squad on 1 August 2024.

His limited involvement at the start of the current season comes as the potential move to Marumo is being considered. Madiba’s only appearance so far has come from the bench, leaving him with four league minutes and no goal involvement.

The transfer would represent another change in club for the left-back after his return from Orbit College. Madiba’s current status remains that of an Orlando Pirates player, with the possible move to Marumo yet to be confirmed.
