Yanga close in on return of Aziz Ki from Al Ittihad

Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC are closing in on the return of Burkina Faso midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki after submitting a $500,000 offer to Libyan club Al Ittihad.

Yanga formally sent their proposal to Al Ittihad on Wednesday, 13 August, as they stepped up efforts to bring the influential midfielder back to Tanzania.

The offer is structured in two instalments, with Yanga set to pay $300,000 when the player signs, followed by a further $200,000 payment on or before January 2027.

A further $300,000 is expected to come from Aziz Ki’s camp as part of the overall arrangement to complete the transfer.

Sources indicate that Al Ittihad have accepted Yanga’s proposal, paving the way for the deal to be completed.

Aziz Ki is also understood to have made his position clear to the Libyan club at the end of last season, informing them that he did not want to remain with Al Ittihad.

That stance has helped accelerate negotiations, with the player’s return to Yanga now considered imminent.

The Burkina Faso international previously established himself as one of the standout players in Tanzanian football during his spell with Yanga, playing a key role in the club’s domestic success and continental campaigns.

His potential return would represent a major boost for Yanga as they prepare for another demanding season, particularly with the club seeking to strengthen its squad for domestic and African competition.

Yanga’s willingness to commit $500,000, alongside the additional contribution from the player’s camp, underlines the club’s determination to secure the midfielder’s services.

With Al Ittihad understood to have accepted the proposal and Aziz Ki keen to leave the Libyan side, the remaining steps are expected to focus on finalising the agreement and completing the player’s return.

For Yanga supporters, the prospect of Aziz Ki wearing the club’s colours again is likely to generate significant excitement, with the midfielder having already built a strong reputation during his previous spell in Tanzania.
