Yan Diomande threatens Vinicius as Ivorian’s market value soars to €120m
Vinicius Junior has seen his market value fall further, with the Real Madrid forward now valued at €130 million by Transfermarkt.
The latest update puts the Brazil international 10th in the ranking of the world’s most valuable players, while his Real Madrid teammate and Ivory Coast international Diomande has made a significant jump and is closing in on him.
Vinicius value continues to fall
According to Transfermarkt’s latest figures, Vinicius’ market value has dropped from €140m to €130m.
The decline marks a significant change from his peak valuation of €200m between 2024 and 2025, with the forward’s value having followed a downward trend in recent updates.
His latest valuation comes after what has been described as a modest start to the season, leaving him further behind the players at the top of the market-value rankings.
Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland lead the list with valuations of €220m each, while Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe is third at €200m.
Diomande closes the gap
Vinicius is also facing a challenge from within the Real Madrid squad.
Ivorian defender Diomande, who joined the Spanish club this summer, has seen his market value rise from €90m to €120m in the latest Transfermarkt update.
That leaves only €10m between the two Real Madrid players, putting Diomande within touching distance of Vinicius.
The Ivorian’s rapid rise means he could overtake his Brazilian teammate if the current trend continues.
Yamal and Haaland lead the rankings
Michael Olise occupies fourth place with a market value of €180m, followed by Jude Bellingham at €160m.
Pedri is valued at €150m, while Joao Neves, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Vitinha are each worth €140m.
Vinicius completes the current top 10 at €130m, but his position is no longer secure following Diomande’s latest increase.
The contrasting valuations underline the changing landscape at the top of the transfer market, with Vinicius now looking to reverse his recent decline while Diomande continues his rapid rise.
