Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with RB Leipzig for the signing of Ivory Coast international Yan Diomandé, with the deal expected to be completed next week.

The proposed transfer, reported to be worth more than €100 million including bonuses, would bring one of Europe’s most sought-after young talents to the Spanish capital after an impressive season in the Bundesliga.

The agreement is yet to be formally completed, but reports indicate that the official contract could be signed as early as next week.

Diomandé had attracted interest from several leading European clubs following his performances in Germany, but the 19-year-old has reportedly chosen Real Madrid as the next destination in his career.

That decision is understood to have brought an end to interest from Paris Saint-Germain, who have now withdrawn from negotiations.

Real Madrid move ahead in race for Diomandé

The Spanish giants have moved decisively to secure the services of the highly rated winger after reaching an agreement in principle with RB Leipzig.

The transfer is reported to be valued at more than €100 million, including performance-related bonuses, highlighting the importance Real Madrid place on the player’s potential.

Although the agreement has not yet been formally signed, all indications suggest the deal is progressing towards completion, with the final paperwork expected to be concluded in the coming days.

If completed, the move would represent one of the most significant transfers of the summer window.

PSG end pursuit after player’s decision

Paris Saint-Germain had also been among the clubs strongly linked with Diomandé.

The French champions monitored the Ivory Coast international closely and had remained in the race for his signature.

However, reports indicate that the player has now made his preference clear by opting for the project offered by Real Madrid.

As a result, PSG have reportedly accepted the player’s decision and ended their pursuit, bringing their involvement in the transfer saga to a close.

The reported withdrawal leaves Real Madrid in a commanding position to complete the signing without further competition from the Paris club.

Outstanding season raised his profile

Diomandé’s rise has been one of the standout stories of the season.

His performances in the Bundesliga established him as one of Europe’s most promising attacking players and attracted widespread attention from elite clubs across the continent.

The winger’s displays for both club and country have significantly increased his reputation, making him one of the most valuable young players available during the current transfer window.

Those performances ultimately convinced Real Madrid to pursue a deal worth more than €100 million.

Official confirmation expected soon

While the transfer has not yet been officially announced, reports suggest the remaining formalities are expected to be completed shortly.

The signing of the final contract could take place as early as next week, paving the way for Diomandé to begin the next chapter of his career in Spain.

With PSG no longer involved and an agreement in principle reportedly reached between Real Madrid and RB Leipzig, the Ivory Coast international now appears set to complete a move to the Santiago Bernabéu in what could become one of the biggest transfers of the summer.
