Yan Diomande: Man Utd linked with move for €90m RB Leipzig and Ivory Coast winger

Yan Diomande, the Ivory Coast winger currently at RB Leipzig, is being linked with a summer move to Manchester United as the Premier League club weigh up wide attacking options. The 19-year-old, who operates primarily on the left, is under contract with Leipzig until 30 June 2030, meaning any deal is likely to be expensive, with his current valuation standing at around €90m.

The chances of a transfer are currently rated at 24%, suggesting United’s interest is at an exploratory stage rather than the final phase of negotiations. Leipzig are under no pressure to sell a player they signed only last summer, when he arrived from CD Leganes in July 2025 for a fee of €20m.

Diomande has quickly become a key part of Leipzig’s attack, registering 12 goals and nine assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances last season. His form at club level earned him a place in Ivory Coast’s squad at the 2026 World Cup, where he started all four of their matches and recorded one assist.

Born in Abidjan in November 2006, Diomande has risen rapidly since leaving Leganes for the Bundesliga and is now regarded as one of Leipzig’s most valuable assets. Any approach from Old Trafford would have to take into account both the length of his deal and Leipzig’s track record of securing substantial fees for their leading talents, with the German club in a strong position to dictate terms as he enters the second year of his contract.
