RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande is being linked with a surprise move to Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich, with the probability of a deal currently rated at 25%.
The 19-year-old, valued at €45.00m, is the subject of early transfer speculation as Bayern are reported to be monitoring his rapid rise in Germany. While no formal agreement has been reached and his contract situation is not publicly detailed, the lack of clear expiry information has prompted suggestions that Leipzig may eventually face a decision over whether to cash in or risk Diomande moving closer to free-agent status in the future.
Diomande, a right-footed left winger from Côte d’Ivoire, joined RB Leipzig from Spanish side CD Leganés ahead of the 2025-26 season. His market value has soared since then, rising from €600,000 at Leganés in May 2025 to €1.50m a month later, before jumping to €20m in October 2025 with Leipzig and reaching €45m by December 2025, underlining the scale of his development.
Born in Abidjan on 14 November 2006, the 1.80m attacker has followed an unusually international pathway, moving from Yulee Hornets in the United States to DME Academy, then to Leganés in Spain’s system, and on to Leipzig in Germany’s top flight. His exposure to different football cultures and leagues has added to his appeal for elite clubs.
Leipzig and Bayern already have a history of high-profile moves between them, and any transfer involving Diomande would likely command a substantial fee given his age, trajectory and current valuation. Should Bayern accelerate their interest and Leipzig prove willing to negotiate, a deal could become one of the most talked-about moves in the Bundesliga, potentially defining the next stage of Diomande’s career and shaping expectations around one of Côte d’Ivoire’s most highly rated young forwards.
