Wydad Athletic Club has finalised an agreement to bring back former captain Yahya Jabrane during the ongoing summer transfer window, marking his return after a one-season stint with Kuwait SC.
Sources close to the Casablanca-based club confirmed that the deal was concluded on two main conditions.
First, Wydad agreed to settle Jabrane’s outstanding financial entitlements — a legacy issue from the previous management — without involving the Moroccan Football Federation’s dispute resolution chamber.
Second, the 33-year-old midfielder is set to reclaim the captain’s armband and play a key leadership role within the squad.
Jabrane’s official unveiling is expected next week, ahead of the team’s departure for a pre-season training camp in Turkey.
Wydad will then travel to Doha for a friendly against Qatari giants Al Sadd.
