Yahia Jlidi: Monaco eye move for French-Tunisian Angers winger

Yahia Jlidi, the French-Tunisian left winger currently with Angers SCO U17, is being linked with a move to Ligue 1 side Monaco. The 17-year-old attacker has emerged as a target for the Principality club as they continue to monitor talent from France’s youth system.

Jlidi joined Angers’ academy setup ahead of the 2024-25 season, arriving from Creteil Youth on a free transfer on 1 July 2024. His quick progression at Angers has brought him to the attention of scouts higher up the pyramid, with Monaco among the clubs tracking his development at youth level.

Primarily operating as a left winger in attack, Jlidi is part of the Angers SCO U17 squad and remains in the early stages of his career. His dual nationality with Tunisia and France adds longer-term interest around his international future, although his immediate focus is at club level.

A potential move to Monaco would represent a rapid step up from age-group football at Angers to one of France’s leading clubs, but for now the teenager remains under contract in the academy structure he joined last summer.
