Yacouba Sylla Joins Kayseri Erciyesspor on Loan
Malian midfielder Yacouba Sylla has joined Turkish side Kayseri Erciyesspor on a one-year loan deal, the club confirmed on Monday. Erciyesspor announced the signing on their official website, sharing a photo of Sylla alongside the message: “We have signed Yacouba Sylla on a one-year loan.”
Sylla moves to Turkey after struggling for regular playing time at English Premier League club Aston Villa, which he joined just a year and a half ago. The midfielder hopes the loan spell will help him secure more consistent first-team action.
Since arriving at Villa Park from French side Clermont in January 2013, Sylla made 13 appearances across the Premier League and cup competitions last season, starting in seven matches. Despite the move, he remains under contract with Aston Villa until June 2016.
The loan to Kayseri Erciyesspor offers Sylla a fresh opportunity to reinvigorate his career and gain valuable minutes on the pitch.
