Yacine Hamza draws level with Adil Barbari after Tour du Faso victory

Yacine Hamza has secured Algeria’s 22nd stage win in the history of the Tour du Faso after triumphing in Leo.

The Algerian sprinter now has four stage victories on Burkina Faso’s roads, according to data compiled by journalist Salif Ouedraogo, known as Decastel. That takes him level with compatriot Adil Barbari at the top of Algeria’s all-time winners in the race.

Hamza has also become the 24th rider to record at least four stage victories in the Tour du Faso. His latest success further underlines Algeria’s status as one of the competition’s most successful nations.
