Yacine Bourhane: Comoros midfielder leaves Aris Limassol to become free agent

Comoros and France defensive midfielder Yacine Bourhane has left Aris Limassol and is now a free agent after his contract with the Cypriot club came to an end on 11 July 2026.

The 27-year-old, who is left-footed and stands at 1.90m, departs the Cyprus League side with a market valuation of around 450,000. His exit ends a one-year spell at Aris, having arrived in July 2025 following a free transfer from Danish club Esbjerg fB.

Bourhane has built a solid reputation as a holding midfielder across several European leagues, with experience in France, the Netherlands, Denmark and Cyprus. He featured regularly in Ligue 2 earlier in his career, making 67 appearances with one goal and one assist, before earning a move to Go Ahead Eagles in the Eredivisie from Chamois Niort in 2021.

After a short stint in the Dutch top flight, Bourhane switched to Esbjerg in early 2022, where he added games in the Danish divisions to a CV that also includes play-off and cup outings in multiple countries. Across his time in Denmark and Cyprus he contributed goals and assists from deep midfield and gained experience in European competition qualifiers.

Born in Noisy-le-Grand on the outskirts of Paris on 30 September 1998, Bourhane has combined his French football education with international representation for Comoros, operating primarily as a screening midfielder in front of the defence.

Bourhane now departs Aris Limassol and will look for the next move of his career as an unattached player following the completion of his spell in Cyprus.
