Yacine Bammou returns to AC Boulogne-Billancourt in ambassador role

Yacine Bammou has returned to AC Boulogne-Billancourt, the club where his professional journey began, after deciding not to continue playing at the highest level.

The 35-year-old former Nantes forward will take on a role focused on supporting the club’s players and wider development.

Bammou first represented ACBB between 2010 and 2012. Since then, he has built a varied career that included Ligue 1, Turkish football, Ligue 2 and the Moroccan national team, for which he earned seven caps and scored once.

His professional record includes more than 350 appearances and 67 goals. His most recent experience came with Moroccan side Union Touarga, following a spell at Dunkirk.

ACBB, currently competing in Régional 2 and recognised for its youth development, announced that Bammou would become an ambassador. The club also wants him to accompany its players and share the lessons, experiences and standards he gained during his career.

Bammou welcomed the opportunity with an enthusiastic message to supporters: “I am back at the club and look forward to seeing you every Sunday at Stade Gallo. We are together, come on ACBB!”

His return offers young players a direct link to someone who understands both the challenges and rewards of professional football.
