Yac Diori: Niger defender joins Al-Ahed from Al-Karkh SC

Yac Diori, the 29-year-old Niger centre-back, has joined Lebanese Premier League club Al-Ahed from Iraq’s Al-Karkh SC.

The move was completed on 16 September, bringing Diori to his third club in three countries after a spell in the Iraq Stars League. No transfer fee has been disclosed.

Diori made 28 appearances in the Iraq Stars League during his time with Al-Karkh and provided one assist. He had moved to the Iraqi club from Spanish side Arenteiro in September 2025 on a free transfer.

The defender’s arrival at Al-Ahed continues a career that has included extensive experience in Spain’s professional divisions. Diori has made 99 appearances in Primera Federacion, scoring three goals and registering one assist, while he also played 10 times in LaLiga2.

He began his senior career in Spain with Ponferradina B after moving from Nigerien club Kandadji Sport to CDI Amistad’s under-19 side. Diori then stepped up to Ponferradina’s first team before later spells with Getafe CF B, Castellon, Algeciras CF, Marbella and Arenteiro.

His move to Getafe CF B came on loan in January 2020, before he returned to Ponferradina at the end of that season. Diori subsequently joined Castellon in 2021, Algeciras CF in 2023 and Marbella in 2024, with each of those moves recorded as a free transfer.

Diori, who was born in Niamey, stands 1.83m tall and is right-footed. His defensive role and experience across Spain and Iraq provide the latest addition to Al-Ahed’s squad for the Lebanese Premier League campaign.

The Niger international is now an Al-Ahed player after completing his move from Al-Karkh SC on 16 September 2026.
