Xande Silva completes free transfer to Iraklis from Hapoel Tel Aviv

Portugal-Angola winger Xande Silva has joined Greek club Iraklis from Hapoel Tel Aviv on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old left-sided attacker has signed a contract with Iraklis running until 30 June 2027. He moves to the Super League 1 side after one season with Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he had been since joining from St. Louis CITY in August 2025.

Silva made five appearances in the 2026-27 UEFA Conference League qualifying rounds before switching clubs, playing 181 minutes without scoring or providing an assist. He was also booked once during the qualifying campaign. His record in the opening four matches of the Israeli top flight stood at no appearances before his departure.

The move gives Iraklis a winger who primarily operates on the left and favours his right foot. Silva was born in Porto on 16 March 1997 and holds Portuguese and Angolan nationality.

He began his football development at Alverca before moving to Sporting’s youth system. After progressing through Sporting’s academy, he joined Vitoria Guimaraes’ under-19 side in 2014 and later advanced to the club’s reserve team.

Silva moved into senior football with Vitoria Guimaraes before leaving for West Ham in August 2018. He subsequently spent time with Aris Saloniki on loan, then joined Nottingham Forest on a free transfer in 2021. A free move to Dijon followed in 2022, while a loan spell with Atlanta in 2023 became a permanent transfer the following January.

His time with Atlanta ended with a move to St. Louis CITY in April 2025, before his switch to Hapoel Tel Aviv four months later. The Greek club is now the latest destination in a career that has taken the winger through Portugal, England, France, the United States and Israel.

Silva’s transfer to Iraklis was completed on 15 September 2026, with the winger contracted to the club until June 2027.
