Wydad sign 19-year-old Beninese forward Junior Pamilerin Olugbade

19-year-old Beninese forward Junior Pamilerin Olugbade has signed a four-year contract with Moroccan giants Wydad AC.

Wydad have reportedly secured the youngster’s contract from Beninese club ASVO FC for a fee of 500,000 Moroccan dirhams, worth about $53,300.

Olugbade had spent several weeks training with Wydad as part of an assessment period, during which he impressed the club’s technical staff sufficiently to earn a permanent move.

The agreement represents a significant investment in one of Benin’s promising young talents, with Wydad moving quickly to secure his services on a long-term contract.

Olugbade’s move to Morocco will see him continue his development within Wydad’s youth structure, where the club will look to nurture his potential and provide a pathway towards senior football.

Wydad, one of Morocco’s most successful clubs, have a long-standing reputation for developing and recruiting young talent from across the continent.

The four-year agreement underlines the club’s belief in Olugbade’s potential despite his young age, while the transfer fee paid to ASVO FC makes the deal a notable investment in a player who is still only nine.
