Moroccan football giants Wydad Casablanca are actively pursuing the signing of Al Ahly’s Reda Salim during the upcoming winter transfer window, according to media professional Ibrahim Abdel Gawad.
In a recent appearance on the “Malab O Time” program, Abdel Gawad revealed that Wydad is preparing to make an official offer to secure Salim’s services.
The Moroccan club is reportedly keen on strengthening its squad under the guidance of its technical director.
Salim, currently a player for Al Ahly, has reportedly welcomed Wydad’s interest, expressing his openness to the move.
However, he made it clear that any potential transfer is dependent on a decision by Al Ahly’s board of directors.
This development adds intrigue to the upcoming transfer window, with both clubs expected to engage in discussions as Wydad looks to bolster its squad for the second half of the season.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly is set to face Al Ahly Bank in a third-round fixture of the Nile Professional League, which will take place on Sunday at Cairo International Stadium.
