Malick Evouna Confirms Desire to Join Al Ahly Amid Transfer Wrangle
After a prolific season with Wydad Casablanca, Gabonese striker Malick Evouna is set on leaving the Moroccan giants—with Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly as his preferred destination. Despite interest from Polish side Legia Warsaw, the 22-year-old forward has made his intentions clear.
“I’ve made my choice. I’m just waiting for the transfer to Al Ahly to be made official,” Evouna told a source close to the matter, according to Footafrica365.fr.
Evouna finished last season as Wydad’s top scorer with 16 goals, playing a key role in the club’s domestic success. However, while the player is eager to take the next step in his career, the Moroccan club appears reluctant to part with their star forward so easily.
