Wydad Athletic Clun announce resigning of striker Zouhair El Moutaraji
Wydad Casablanca has officially closed its summer transfer window with the return of striker Zouhair El Moutaraji.
However, the financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
El Moutaraji, who was the top scorer for Esperance in the last CAF Champions League final against Egypt’s Al Ahly—where he netted twice—returns to Wydad after protracted negotiations ahead of the new football season.
The club had attempted to bring back other key players from that Esperance squad, including Yahya Jabrane, Yahya Attiat Allah, and Ayoub Amloud, but those efforts were unsuccessful.
This move follows Wydad’s recent activation of the purchase clause for South African midfielder Lorsch from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Since the arrival of club president Ait Mena last summer, Wydad has signed approximately 50 players, reflecting a period of significant squad renewal.
