The 27-year-old has spent most of his career in Spain, featuring for clubs such as Getafe, Girona, Real Oviedo, Granollers, and Calahorra.

The move to Wydad Athletic Club marks his first stint with an African club, though he is no stranger to North African football, having represented Ghana at the 2019 CAF U23 Cup of Nations in Egypt, where he emerged as the team’s standout performer with two goals.

At Wydad, Samuel Obeng will not only compete for domestic honours but will also have the opportunity to showcase his talent in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
