Wydad AC has officially announced a series of major administrative decisions concerning the club’s upcoming general assembly and the future of the current management board.

The decisions were revealed in an official statement issued following a meeting held on May 12, 2026, at the club’s headquarters involving club president Hicham Aït Menna, members of the management office, and representatives of the team.

General Assembly Scheduled For July

According to the statement, Wydad Athletic Club will hold its next general assembly on July 15, 2026.

During the assembly, the current management office is expected to officially submit its resignation, paving the way for the election of a new leadership team to guide the club into the next phase of its development.

The announcement comes at an important moment for the Casablanca giants as supporters closely monitor the future direction of one of Morocco’s biggest football institutions.

Presidency Nominations To Open Soon

Wydad also confirmed the timeline for the presidential election process ahead of the general assembly.

The club revealed that the nomination period for candidates seeking the presidency will run from May 25 to June 5, 2026.

In addition, the management stated that the membership registration process will remain open until June 5 to allow eligible members to participate in the upcoming electoral process.

Current Board Promises Neutrality

In its statement, the current management office stressed that it will maintain complete neutrality throughout the election process.

Club officials also emphasised their commitment to providing all necessary information and administrative support to every candidate in order to guarantee equal opportunities and ensure transparency during the elections.

The statement reaffirmed the club’s intention to conduct the process in a professional and transparent atmosphere as Wydad prepares for an important transition period.
