Idrissa Touré Targeted Again by Wrexham Ahead of Summer Window

Wrexham have renewed their interest in Guinean striker Idrissa Touré, with the Welsh club once again pushing to bring the Pisa forward to England during the upcoming transfer window.

According to reports from Africafoot, Wrexham have restarted discussions over a possible move after failing to secure the player during the previous window.

The club had already identified Touré as one of its attacking priorities last summer, but negotiations with Pisa collapsed after the Italian side rejected an offer considered too low.

Despite that setback, interest in the 27-year-old never completely disappeared. Wrexham are now understood to have revived the operation and are working towards finding an agreement with the Serie A side.

Sources close to the player suggest that Touré’s entourage is favourable to a move to the United Kingdom and is attempting to convince Pisa to facilitate the transfer.

The striker remains highly regarded despite relatively modest numbers this season. Touré has made more than 21 Serie A appearances, contributing one goal and one assist.

However, his influence within the team reportedly extends beyond statistics, with his physical presence, work ethic and tactical contribution continuing to attract attention from clubs across Europe.

Under contract with Pisa until June 2027, Touré is approaching an important stage in his career as discussions continue over his long-term future.

Wrexham are currently among the most persistent clubs pursuing the forward, although other European sides are also monitoring developments.

Reports indicate that Wrexham previously submitted an offer worth around €6 million for the Guinea-born attacker, but Pisa turned it down while hoping for a larger fee.

The Italian club’s position now appears to have softened as it looks to avoid losing leverage over a player entering the latter stages of his contract.

Negotiations could resume in the coming weeks, with Wrexham expected to improve their proposal in an effort to finally complete the transfer.

Touré’s market value has also risen steadily in recent months. According to Transfermarkt, the striker is now valued at around €6 million following his consistent performances and professionalism throughout the campaign.

Alongside Wrexham, clubs including Barcelona, Olympiacos, Napoli and Boulogne are also reported to be keeping a close watch on the striker’s situation ahead of the summer window.
