Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has opened up about his relationship with Cameroon FA President, Samuel Eto\u2019o.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former Barcelona and Inter Milan star reportedly influenced Onana\u2019s omission from the 2022 World Cup squad, forcing his early retirement from international football.<\/p>\n

Prior to the 2023 AFCON, Onana was convinced to return to the national team by the Cameroonian government.<\/p>\n

At the tournament, the Manchester United shot stopper was benched in favor of a third-division goalkeeper, further humiliating his comeback.<\/p>\n

In response to the purported break in relationship with Eto\u2019o, Onana said, “To be honest, a lot has happened, but it’s all behind us now.”<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, nothing matters more than my nation’s triumph. First is Cameroon. Regardless of our personal opinions, we are willing to sacrifice everything for the identity this nation has given us. Despite these struggles, Onana remains focused on his career and his ambitions:<\/p>\n
