In the World Series of Boxing (WSB) championship, the Algerian boxing team, known as the Desert Falcons, faced a challenging start as they lost 0-5 to Russia in Moscow. This marked Algeria’s debut in the WSB, a competition initiated by the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA) in 2010. The team will have further matches against Azerbaijan, Mexico, Poland, and Argentina in the “First leg” phase of Group A. The competition features twelve teams from different continents, showcasing a global representation in amateur boxing.
