Rwanda head coach Adel Amrouche has named a 27-man provisional squad for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Nigeria and Zimbabwe on September 6 and 9.
The selection includes Ange Mutsinzi of Zira Futbol Klubu and Innocent Nshuti of Esperance Sportif de Zarzis, both scorers in Rwanda’s 2-1 victory over Nigeria in last year’s AFCON qualifiers.
Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Ntwari Fiacre headlines the three-man goalkeeping unit, while the squad also features nine defenders, six midfielders and nine forwards.
Nigeria will recall their 2-0 win over Rwanda in March, when Victor Osimhen struck twice in Kigali.
However, Rwanda enter the tie with confidence, having avoided defeat in two of their last three encounters with the Super Eagles, including a goalless draw at home and the upset victory in Uyo.
Rwanda currently sit second in their qualifying group with eight points from six matches, one point clear of Nigeria.
Amrouche’s side will aim to build on that advantage as they continue their push for a first-ever World Cup appearance.
