The goalkeeper stressed that the players are focused on delivering performances that will make the country proud throughout the tournament.
“I thank the fans for their support and encouragement, and our goal is to deliver great performances to please our fans,” he said in remarks published by the Moroccan Football Federation.
Morocco has been drawn in Group C alongside Brazil, Haiti and Scotland, with the Atlas Lions aiming to build on their impressive performances in recent major tournaments.
Adapting to Conditions in the United States
Bounou revealed that the Moroccan delegation arrived under favourable conditions and is gradually adjusting to the time difference and environment ahead of the competition.

“The Moroccan delegation arrived in ideal conditions, and the players are progressing step by step towards fully adapting to the time difference and the general atmosphere here.”
The experienced shot-stopper also outlined the team’s ambitions, emphasising the desire to achieve something special for Moroccan football.
“Our goal is to create a great achievement and history befitting Moroccan football. We aim first to get past the group stage, then to approach the tournament match by match.”
