The 2014 Brazilian World Cup continues to draw immense interest, with FIFA recently releasing updates on ticket sales. The figures are remarkably positive, mirroring the enthusiasm seen on the first day of sales.
According to FIFA, a total of 2,577,662 tickets have been sold thus far. Notably, 1.5 million tickets were allocated for supporters from around the globe, with Brazilians purchasing 65% of these tickets while foreigners accounted for the remaining 35%.
In terms of country-specific breakdown, Brazilian supporters lead the pack with 1,591,435 tickets purchased. Following them are fans from the United States (154,412), Australia (40,681), England (38,043), and Colombia (33,126).
