Riyad Mahrez will indeed join the Algerian Fennecs training camp ahead of the 2014 Brazil World Cup.
Despite being promoted to the Premier League with Leicester City, the midfielder has been summoned by Vahid Halilhodzic for the training camp at the Sidi Moussa center starting from May 10. This 20-day camp will include friendly matches, and Mahrez is expected to join the team on May 8.
Having scored 9 goals and provided 9 assists since the beginning of the season (first with Le Havre and then with Leicester), the 23-year-old attacking midfielder is part of a provisional list of around thirty players.
The final selection of 23 players will be made on May 31 for the friendly match against Armenia in Sion. Subsequently, on June 4, the Fennecs will face Romania in Geneva before departing from Algeria to Sao Paulo on June 7.
