The Nigerian women’s national football team, the Super Falcons, suffered a 2-0 defeat in a friendly match against the reigning world champions, Japan. The first goal was scored from a penalty in the 21st minute by Miyama, followed by a second goal from Sakaguchi in the 28th minute. Despite a dominant performance in the second half, the Super Falcons were unable to score and make a comeback.
