Wolverhampton Wanderers targets Kevin Danso as replacement for Yerson Mosquera

Kevin Danso

Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers have targeted Austrian-Ghanaian defender Kevin Danso as a replacement for Colombian marksman Yerson Mosquera.

Danso has been on the radar of several clubs in Europe due to his outstanding performance for both RC Lens and the Austria national team.

The 26-year-old came close to joining Serie A giants AS Roma but the move fell through after failing his mandatory medical.

The highly-rated defender, who played six games under Ralph Hasenhuttl at Southampton is set for a Premier League return, with Wolves lining up a potential January switch.

Wolves sees the enterprising defender as a perfect replacement for Colombian marksman Yerson Mosquera.

Danso has been outstanding since joining Ligue 1 outfit RC Lens from Augsburg. He was pivotal when the club finished second in the French top-flight and also secured Champions League spot last season.

This season, Danso has made 10 appearances in the French Ligue 1 but is yet to score or register an assist.
