German-Nigerian attacker Wisdom Mike heads to Club Brugge in €5m transfer

Bayern Munich teenager Wisdom Mike is set to leave the German champions for Belgian side Club Brugge after the two clubs reached an agreement over a permanent transfer.

Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg has confirmed that the deal is complete, following earlier reports from Belgium.

Club Brugge will reportedly pay a fixed €5m for the 17-year-old winger, with Bayern also entitled to additional bonuses and a percentage of any future sale.

Four-year contract agreed

Mike is expected to sign a contract with Club Brugge running until 2029.

According to Plettenberg, the youngster will undergo his medical examination on Tuesday before the transfer is formally completed.

The move represents a permanent switch to Belgium, despite a loan initially being considered as the next step in Mike’s development.

Bayern have also reportedly not secured a buy-back option as part of the agreement.

Champions League opportunity awaits

The move will give Mike the opportunity to continue his development at Club Brugge while competing at the highest level of European club football.

The Belgian side are set to offer the teenager Champions League football, providing him with valuable experience as he takes the next step in his young career.

For Bayern, the agreement also provides the club with an immediate transfer fee, future-sale protection and bonus opportunities from a player who has emerged from their youth ranks.
